This wine has been made from a selection of the vineyards’ best bunches of Tempranillo grapes. Following cold pre-fermentation maceration, alcoholic fermentation was carried out slowly and carefully, keeping the temperature below 26o, with regular pumping over. Next, the wine was transferred to new barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation, then aged for 12 months in mixed oak barrels made of American oak staves and French oak ends. After bottling, the wine was aged for a further six months prior to release.
Beronia Crianza 2015 Limited Edition is a deep garnet colour. Complex and attractive on the nose, it displays distinct aromas of berries (redcurrants and blueberries); herbal notes (camomile) and hints of spice (pepper) and nuts (walnuts). Notes of liquorice come through as well – a delightful extra layer. The strongest flavours are of wild berries, particularly strawberry. The tannins are soft and balanced and the wine is very fresh on the palate.
This is an ideal wine to drink with roasts, charcoal-grilled cutlets, Ibérico cured meats and mature cheese. Store in a cool place (maximum 14oC) and drink up until 2023.
