This wine is 100% Tempranillo, harvested from certified organic vineyards. Following harvest the grapes undergo cold maceration for a few days to extract aromas and colour. Alcoholic fermentation takes place using the natural yeasts found on the grape, at less than 26ºC with periodic pumping over. The wine is then transferred to mixed oak barrels, made from American staves with French tops, where it is aged for 6 months. This wine was bottled in September 2017 and remains in bottle for 2 months before being released onto the market.
Beronia Ecológico 2016 shows a black cherry colour with purple hints. It has an attractive nose with aromas of aromatic herbs such as thyme and rosemary predominate backed by subtle notes of red fruits. The wine has touches of mint, giving freshness to the wine. A soft, rounded wine with ripe, rounded fruit aromas and flavours and an intense, remarkable complexity on the palate the Beronia Ecológico 2016 is packed with ripe cherry, fruit flavours with hints of chocolate, sweet spices including cinnamon.
The wine must be kept in a cool place (at temperatures of not more than 14ºC, Avoid direct light and strong odours. We recommend drinking it before the end of 2022.
